I feel most in my element with a camera in hand (or five..) and always get butterflies before I get to make photos with people.
I specialize in creating a comfortable, intentional experience to create images that feel authentic to your love / your brand / the beauty of whats around us.
My business (and marriage- shoutout Joe, love of my life) turns 8 this year and I could not be more grateful that I get to photograph for my job year after year!
my approach to photography:
I am an observer and documenter
I will direct/guide when needed while staying aware, capturing the magic of the moment.
i’m quick and subtle behind the lens, its important to me that you feel present and supported.
I photograph on digital and 35mm film
some things i love:
hanging out with my dog bilbo
reading
thrift store shopping
having the aux cord
bird watching
yoga
trying out new restaurants with Joe
walks
coffee
watching sunrises / sunsets
My Grandma Tama always had a camera in hand snapping photos of our family gatherings. We would roll our eyes when the flash would go off saying “we weren’t ready!!” and she’d reply, “I got you!” Her photos captured the feeling, laughter and warmth of everyone together.
My grandpa Robert photographed for the newspaper, taking photos from planes and always building his film camera collection. He was a quiet guy but we could chit-chat for hours about photography, I always felt that taking photos made him come alive.
Photography has been important to my family for generations and I’m so grateful I get to continue the legacy. I use my grandpa’s past down film cameras in my work and i know they’re hyped with me at every photoshoot. <3
